We understand that backpackers need cover that is smart and flexible. So with all of our single trip policies, you can travel for up to 24 months; extend your policy if your plans change; and return home for one visit on policies over 6 months. With our standard and premier levels you’ll get cover for over 100 sports and adrenaline activities, so you never have to stop the adventure; and with FREE access to a UK GP 24/7 by phone or online, you can feel safe travelling in remote areas where hospitals aren't always easily accessible.

Included cover for students, workers and volunteers

We automatically include cover if you need to cancel your trip to resit exams, cover for working holidays - including farm work, ski seasons and the option to travel on a one-way ticket; and cover for recognised volunteer projects working with children and animals. For students, our 12 month Study Abroad policy meets US regulations, and our Medical Elective add-on gives peace of mind to students travelling on electives abroad.

 

Wintersports and sports trips

Don't let your insurance leave you out in the cold. Our wintersports cover includes ski pack cancellation, loss/delay/damage to ski equipment, piste and avalanche closure. Buy cover for a single ski or snowboarding holiday, or add on extra ski days, weeks or months to a longer policy. We also automatically include 7 days wintersports cover on our single trip policies and 21 days on our annual policies, FREE OF CHARGE. Or if you're travelling abroad to play any other sports, ask about our sport trip policies.

Tailor your policy

After choosing your level of cover and duration, personalise your policy with our add-ons. These include waiving the medical excess; reducing the policy excess; extra cover for gadgets including mobile phones and tablets; increasing the cancellation cover; and adding cover for natural catastrophes such as volcanic eruptions and hurricanes. We consider all pre-existing medical conditions, with medical screening available on our Standard, Premier and Premier Plus policies.
